My 6-Month Robotic Therapy Glove Review
My 6-Month Robotic Hand Glove Review
After six months of using my robotic hand rehabilitation glove, I can honestly say it has become a dependable part of my recovery routine.
I use the glove for five 20-minute sessions each day and combine those sessions with regular functional exercises. In my experience, that’s the key. The glove provides the repetitive movement, but you still need active exercises to overcome the passive nature of the device and help your brain relearn movement by turning on plasticity.
The biggest factors in my success have been consistency, focus, proper back pressure, and sticking with the program every day. While I’m not fully recovered, I continue to gain more movement and function in my hand.
One thing that has impressed me is the durability. Over the past six months, I have accidentally dropped the control unit three or four times. Despite that, the glove and controller continue to work properly with no noticeable degradation in performance. The only issue was that I lost my saved memory settings and had to reprogram them.
For me, the MZU glove has lived up to its intended purpose. It’s not a miracle cure, but when combined with consistent effort and functional exercises, it has been a valuable tool in my ongoing stroke recovery journey.
My Rating: 4/5 Stars — Check it out on Amazon —
Pros:

- Easy to incorporate into a daily rehab routine
Cons:
- Must be combined with active exercises for best results
- Not a substitute for occupational therapy
- Not as effective if used passively.
- Not a silver bullet.
- Higher price than others.
The glove moves your hand. Your effort creates the recovery.
Therapy Putty
Therapy putty is one of the simplest tools I’ve used for improving hand strength and movement after stroke. It helps with grip, finger control, stiffness, and coordination using easy squeezing and stretching exercises you can do at home. Small exercises done consistently can lead to real progress over time. Check it out on Amazon
Yotan One-handed Rocker Knife
Of all the things I’ve bought for my survival journey, the Yotan knife is the most useful. It is perfect for ADL (Activities of Daily Living). This Rocker knife comes with me to every restaurant or pizzeria I visit, as my left hand is frozen in spasticity, and I’ve found that cutting food is a bilateral task. Over the past year, I’ve saved my wife from having to cut my food for me a lot. Even at home! So, give this helpful knife a try. Check it out on Amazon.
